Voodoo Lady VV Z

"A very special mare because she is a daughter of Ligie (Royal Feu x Grand Veneur), who already produced approximately 15 great horses of which multiple approved stallions and 1m60-performers. This is a phenomenen that reoccurs with granddam Bebe du Chateau (six sporthorses of which Typie du Tillard who ran 1m55 with Marlon Modolo Zanotelli), great-granddam Javotte (eight approved stallions or sporthorses - two jumping at 1m60-level) and even great-great-granddam Ballerine who produced a 1m60-horse. But I was above all amazed by seeing how all mares within this lineage - which has branches of top horses in the whole of France - have produced horses that perform in sports.

In liberty Voodoo Lady jumps remarkably high and far, but in breeding she couldn't prove herself yet because I was told it is hard to get her inseminated. Her foal of 2016 was good in free jumping but after a short career in breeding she died already. Her next foals are anno 2023 still too young to show themselves.

Except for the embryo's of Mylord Carthago, she was in 2023 inseminated by J-Nius VV who doesn't only have Ligie as a great-granddam (with in between Ugano Sitte and Chacco Blue), but he is even more the son of Little Indian - one of the few pied stallions who still descends from a good family with jumping genes. The combination of his white color with black spots and the pitch black Voodoo Lady got us very curious."
